Opening the Summer with June

We moved to north Atlanta this past January and had been closed in for the remainder of the winter.  The cabin fever was officially getting to us all, especially not fully knowing our surroundings so the warmth, sun, and new friends are just what we needed.  Our neighborhood has a nice pool and this summer marked both Ryan and Andrew officially learning to swim.  Ryan did not want to be shown up by the neighbor kids so he instantly boycotted the water wings and became a fish from the first day on.  Andrew took a little longer, but we are proud to announce that he too has peeled the wings off (big thanks to the peer pressure of the Harris boys!)  We have wonderful neighbors and seriously there are more children to play with than the boys know what to do with.  We are planning to buy a new home in about a year once we’ve decided on a permanent area here in the OTP.  Matt and I LOVE house shopping. June provided many days/evenings of cul-de-sac play with pick up b-ball games, bike riding, baseball, and popsicle socials on Andrew and Ethan’s driveway.

They have so much fun getting into the box and having Matt pull them around the house.  They are almost too big for it now but don’t tell them.

We went to a thrift shop and the boys found some b-ball jerseys which of course sparked a family room tournament…

…and that sums up our June 2010!  We are thankful to God everyday for each other, our family and friends, and our daily blessings!  He always provides no matter the need – amazing!
