Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave…into Daddy’s face!

On the 4th, we made it up early and went to main street for the parade.  The boys and Lily got flags and Lily thought this was the greatest thing…EVER!

The heat had already come back so we were in and out of the shade with the baby, but the boys were tough.

Ryan was having nothing to do with pictures!

Hooray for parades that still throw candy!

Andrew guarding his ears…our little sound sensitive child!

IMG_0055

Talk about having it made in the shade…Daddy fanning Lily.

IMG_0068

Everyone got a little too hot, so it was back home we went…

IMG_0033

Andrew wanted me to fix his dinner, like, yesterday, so he fed Lily for me…for the first time.  So precious!

IMG_0077

You see, he wanted to hurry and go outside where our neighbors/friends were setting off some fireworks!

I absolutely love this picture… it is sooo them…Ethan/Owen? (twins) on the left, our Andrew, and Ethan (twins) but I can tell them apart,  from next door!

Ryan is always the oldest…but he’s so patient!

I didn’t get any cool pics of the show, Miss Katie was the official photographer of the evening…check her out on my blog list “The Harris Boys”

We had a nice, chill day celebrating the free country we live in…which makes me think.

This country truly was given its blessing from God because it was founded by those that wanted the freedom to worship him properly!  They followed His Word and were a simple people.  Even as the colonies became more “civilized” and wanted freedom, they wrote a Declaration that we were indeed created and under God!

Fast forward 200+ years and our country is crumbling.

Many fight not to follow Him, many think those of us that do are simple and uneducated to believe in His Truth.  But are we truly simple and misled?  I think NOT!  He knew this would happen and He knew the attitude some would have towards Him.

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”

1 Corinthians 3:19

“Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man…”

Romans 1:22

Do we really need to question WHY our country is in such decline?

We ALL have the free will to decide…to be a fool in man or wise in HIM!

Will you?

Take me out to the ballgame…

The day before the 4th, we headed to Turner Field for a little Braves action – night game!  It was fabulous because the sun had already begun to set and it had rained right before and cooled down the massive heat wave we had been enduring.  Uncle Billy and Aunt Megan had gotten Matt tix to the game for his birthday and he was kind enough to invite us!  HaHa!  It was even more special because Megan works for Delta and we got Club level and 755 club passes which made all the difference!  Matt says we will never go to a game again without entry to these areas…REALLY nice!

It was also Liliana’s first game, and she was very excited!

IMG_0007

The boys were cautiously excited because it rained and stormed the entire trip to the city and the sports radio had already announced a game delay…

IMG_0004

Ryan’s silly face…

IMG_0003

Once we got there though everything cleared up and it was nice and cool (by cool, I mean at least in the high 80’s),  and boy were we excited!

IMG_0010

The boys were mesmerized by the fact that 680am broadcasts right from the field pre-game!  The just kept asking, “Are they saying that right now?”

IMG_0012

The drum…

IMG_0013

We had an awesome vantage point from the 13th row!

IMG_0016IMG_0026

IMG_0017

Oh, come on Mommy, we’re trying to watch the game!

IMG_0023

Definitely past Lily’s bedtime!

IMG_0022

Then it was to the Club level and 755 club…at which point we didn’t want to leave!  We stayed there the rest of the game…

IMG_0015

We had been down 3-1, Cubs, but in the 4th inning, we started to “destroy them” – Andrew

And if you couldn’t tell, the boys were very happy!

IMG_0030

Ending score:

Braves 10

Cubs 3

We all agreed, it was a successful, exciting, really fun night!  But next time we may not keep little miss Lily out til midnight!

Thanks Uncle Billy and Aunt Megan…Matt looked great in the new Braves shirt too!

Meanwhile, at the home fun….I mean home front…

Thought I’d share some of our improv fun, there’s lots of it, so bear with me!

Peek-a-boo

Her nigh night game!

IMG_0221

No, no Lily…the face!

IMG_0252

The boys created a massive city…they still won’t let me get a dining room table for this very reason!

IMG_0259IMG_0258

Uh oh, I see a little Mommy in her future!

IMG_0261

She’s getting closer!

IMG_0256IMG_0257

Helping with the groceries…

IMG_0262

Then there was “Mommy/Andrew time”…I am soaking it up, for I know it won’t be too much longer that I will be able to hold him like this.  Or that he will want me to!

IMG_0253

IMG_0222

Oh…I love the sweet smell of my sweaty little boy!  Presh!

We even had a little senorita visit…

IMG_0223

…the suit that didn’t quite fit!

Hope you all have been having some fun this summer too…and staying cool!
