The day before the 4th, we headed to Turner Field for a little Braves action – night game! It was fabulous because the sun had already begun to set and it had rained right before and cooled down the massive heat wave we had been enduring. Uncle Billy and Aunt Megan had gotten Matt tix to the game for his birthday and he was kind enough to invite us! HaHa! It was even more special because Megan works for Delta and we got Club level and 755 club passes which made all the difference! Matt says we will never go to a game again without entry to these areas…REALLY nice!
It was also Liliana’s first game, and she was very excited!
The boys were cautiously excited because it rained and stormed the entire trip to the city and the sports radio had already announced a game delay…
Ryan’s silly face…
Once we got there though everything cleared up and it was nice and cool (by cool, I mean at least in the high 80’s), and boy were we excited!
The boys were mesmerized by the fact that 680am broadcasts right from the field pre-game! The just kept asking, “Are they saying that right now?”
The drum…
We had an awesome vantage point from the 13th row!
Oh, come on Mommy, we’re trying to watch the game!
Definitely past Lily’s bedtime!
Then it was to the Club level and 755 club…at which point we didn’t want to leave! We stayed there the rest of the game…
We had been down 3-1, Cubs, but in the 4th inning, we started to “destroy them” – Andrew
And if you couldn’t tell, the boys were very happy!
Ending score:
Braves 10
Cubs 3
We all agreed, it was a successful, exciting, really fun night! But next time we may not keep little miss Lily out til midnight!
Thanks Uncle Billy and Aunt Megan…Matt looked great in the new Braves shirt too!
